Welcome to the Blog!

It’s officially my first post! It’s not perfect and it’s not polished, but it’s here!

A huge part of creating this website was to prove to myself that I could do things, even when I was struggling or didn’t have the motivation to do it. I can’t tell you how many times I sat on here and drowned over the details; always trying to pick out the right colors, is this all centered the right way? Does this sound right? On and on I could go until eventually, I’d get tired and put it down.

And now… it’s here! Maybe it’s not everything I dreamed it would be, but there’s time for that to happen. The most important thing, is that it’s published, and now you can see it! The world can see it. And together, we can accept the imperfections that come with a first try.

Funnily enough, this isn’t my first blog - that first blog came out some times in the early 2010’s. It was a website my dad made specifically for me to post my photography on. And… I think all I managed to put on there was a picture of a rock and the equivalent of a diary entry about my day at school before I got bored and logged onto Webkinz. Safe to say, I’ve always had trouble putting my focus in the productive parts of life.

We all have to start somewhere, though!

So, on this very first post, I’d like to inaugurate this website with a little quest. Pick one thing - one thing from your list of things you keep putting off. It could be as simple as folding the laundry, to as big as applying for that new job! Whatever it is, do it. And prove to yourself (and your younger self too) that you can finish the things you started, no matter the size.
